A Quick Guide
to beaches in Red River North

Algae, particularly blue-green algae (cyanobacteria), can form blooms in Manitoba's lakes. Some species produce toxins harmful to humans, and pets.
To minimize health risks, avoid swimming in water with visible green blooms, refrain from drinking untreated lake water, and prevent animals from accessing affected beaches.
For more information, visit the Government of Manitoba’s Beach Safety page here.
