Christmas on the Red River Settlement
Visitors are invited to step back in time to 1854 and experience Christmas as it was celebrated in the early years of the Red River Settlement at the St. Andrews Heritage Centre.
The event features a 30-minute guided tour of the Rectory, led by costumed interpreters, offering insights into historical Christmas traditions and the settlement's heritage. Children can participate in painting ceramic ornaments, while guests explore a selection of holiday gifts.
Additionally, Barb Hoffmann will be on-site from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., creating caricatures for $10 per subject on a drop-in basis—an excellent opportunity to find a unique and personal Christmas gift.

Santa Parade of Lights
The 17th annual Santa Parade Of Lights hits the streets on November 23, starting at 7pm. Festive floats head north down Eveline starting at Berrisford and ending at Superior.
Kids are encouraged to bring their letters to Santa Claus as Canada Post will be collecting them along the route!
The Selkirk Lift Bridge at Eaton and Eveline will be closed from 6:30pm until the parade ends around 8:30pm. A parking ban will also be in effect on Eveline during this time.
Loom Weaving: Beginner

Introduction to Clay
Gwen Fox Gallery is offering a beginner pottery class! For $200 you will receive 8 sessions with experienced instructor Darla Martens-Reece. These sessions will tale place every Saturday from September 14th to November 2nd from 12:30PM-3:30PM.
This course will cover all the basics of learning to work with clay, including pinch, slab and coil projects. You will be able to make several pieces and see them to completion from drying to bisque and glaze firing. You will also have the opportunity to try working on the potter's wheel in a one-on-one setting.
This course is a pre-requisite for all pottery courses here at the gallery as it gives you a strong foundation, builds your skills and familiarizes you with our studio routines and procedures. The Gwen Fox Clay Studio is an exciting place with a core group of dedicated potters and we welcome new artists!
