Step back in time at Lower Fort Garry National Historic Site, a beautifully preserved former fur trade post built for the Hudson Bay Company. This 85-acre historical site offers a glimpse into life in the 1830s with its stone-walled fort, restored and reconstructed buildings, and where over 2,000 Ojibway and Swampy Cree people gathered for the signing of Treaty 1.

Operated by Parks Canada, Lower Fort Garry is open year-round for visitors to explore the grounds. During the summer, the site comes alive with seasonal programming and historic buildings open for discovery.
