Tour of Manitoba's Ancient Trees

Join rural forester Guy Shelemy on a guided driving tour to discover Manitoba’s ancient trees, their morphophysiology, and the development of legacy trees in Manitoba’s harsh climate.

Date: September 18

Muster Point: St. Andrews Heritage Centre (374 River Road, St. Andrews MB)

Time: 1pm-4:30pm **Please arrive at the muster point 30 minutes- 1 hour early to sign in and enjoy this National Historic Site

Price: $20 per vehicle

What to Expect: Registrants will arrive at the St. Andrews Heritage Centre’s parking lot and be directed to park by Heritage Centre staff. After an introduction to the tour, Guy Shelemy will drive a pilot vehicle to various stops along River Road. Registrants will follow along Guy in their own vehicles. Once the tour reaches a new stop, registrants are invited to leave their vehicle and gather around Guy to hear his information. Please note that the tour stops may not be accessible by wheel chair, and will likely require a short amount of walking to reach the specific tree.
