Stan Born

Stan is a self taught woodturner who uses various species of wood to create both functional and artistic pieces. Many of his pieces are bowls, hollow forms or lidded boxes but his works also include spurtles, spatulas, scoops, rattles, candle holders, Christmas ornaments, spinning tops and more.

He has created custom pieces including burial urns for loved ones and pets, highland drumsticks, alpine horn mouthpiece and some landscape decorations. Many of the turnings feature the natural wood enhanced by finishes while others may be augmented by carving or added color.
