Every Thursday evening in July and August, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., the St. Andrews Rectory & Heritage Centre invites you to unwind and enjoy their free Porch Performances!
Bring your lawn chair, a blancket, or sit at one of the many picnic tables on the property. Each week will feature a different artist and musicial style. Grab freshly popped popcorn and a cold drink before you kick back and relax!

Evening Canoe Excursion
Let Oak Hammock Marsh canoe specialist, Dusty Molinski, guide you through some lesser explored regions of the Marsh on this two hour evening paddle!
You can bring your own canoe or kayak or you can rent one of our canoes to join.
If you are bringing your own, you must have it decontaminated at a provincial decontamination station before the event to prevent the spread of aquatic invasive species (AIS). To learn more and register, visit here.

Park Play Pop-Ups
Join the City of Selkirk each week and explore a new park and enjoy facilitated games, activities, recreation equipment and more!

This will be at Red Feather Park! Participants will get to observe and record the park and learn how to use sounds maps to track the sights and sounds around them, encouraging mindfulness and creativity.

After browsing the market, be sure to step inside the East Beaches Heritage Wing. It’s a small, interactive museum that shares the rich history of the lake and the people of the East Beaches. Take Roots Fest
Take Roots Fest is a festival meets conference meets summer camp experience. Gather on the farm to take root in community, in nature, in important skills for resilience. Workshops, local food, market, & music, kids activities, campfires, & more!
Make it a full weekend by camping on-site! Camping spots are available, and attendees are encouraged to review the festival's camping guidelines and requirements before booking here.
Single-day passes start at $33 for General Admission and $111 for an All Access Pass. Children 12 and under are free, and discounted teen passes are available. General Admission includes access to live music, vendors, demonstrations, family activities, and everything happening around the farm. Inclusion Golf Tournament
The Inclusion Selkirk Golf Tournament returns for a 6th year on August 20, 2026 at the Selkirk Golf and Country Club.

K9 Swim & Splash
When the Selkirk Park Pool & Splashpad closes for the summer, it goes to the dogs - literally! The City of Selkirk invites your furry friends to come for a dip to close out the season.
Times: Dogs under 30lbs swim between 2-4 p.m. Larger K9’s swim between 4-7:30 pm.

Cost: Free Entry. Donations of dog food/treats/new toys graciously accepted, which will be donated to the municipal Animal Retention Center (ARC).

The WAVE Artists’ Studio Tour celebrates 25 years of connecting art lovers with art!

Red River Paddle Challenge 2026
This year, Red River Paddle Challenge is celebrating a monumental milestone: the 100-year anniversary of the legendary Les Voyageurs Canoe Race!
In 1926, Winnipeg Canoe Club Commodore Fred G. Thompson started a 100 km canoe challenge from Winnipeg to Lockport via the Winnipeg Canoe Club, in honour of his brother, Lieutenant Edward “Pace” Thompson.
Red River Paddle Challenge is a 44 kilometre (~27 miles) long distance single day paddling race on the Red River beginning in Winnipeg, Manitoba and ending down river in Lockport, Manitoba.
Les Voyageurs Challenge is a 110 kilometer (~68 miles) ultra distance paddling race on the Red River beginning in Ste Agathe, Manitoba and ending down river in Lockport, Manitoba. Les Voyageurs is a two-day staged race where participants paddle from Ste Agathe to The Forks Historic Port in Winnipeg on day one and then on day two participants join in with the Red River Paddle Challenge paddlers and paddle to Lockport.
