2026 Red River Rendezvous
The Vintage Sports Car Rendezvous is coming to Selkirk, Manitoba!
Hosted by the British Car Club of Manitoba, Austin-Healey Club of Manitoba, and Mid-Canada Mini Group, this four-day event will bring more than 100 vintage British and European sports cars to the banks of the Red River, Selkirk.
Enjoy guided tours, rallies, parking lot challenges, a waterfront charity car show, meet & greets, and a banquet to cap off an unforgettable weekend. Registration is required for some activities. For more information and registration, visit here.

The Gwen Fox Gallery is hosting free painting classes for children ages 7–12 throughout the summer! This is a wonderful opportunity for kids to get creative and learn the basics of painting in a fun environment.
Local artist and instructor Sharon Routley will guide children as they explore their artistic side.

The Inclusion Selkirk Golf Tournament returns for a 6th year on August 20, 2026 at the Selkirk Golf and Country Club.

Red River Paddle Challenge 2026
This year, Red River Paddle Challenge is celebrating a monumental milestone: the 100-year anniversary of the legendary Les Voyageurs Canoe Race!
In 1926, Winnipeg Canoe Club Commodore Fred G. Thompson started a 100 km canoe challenge from Winnipeg to Lockport via the Winnipeg Canoe Club, in honour of his brother, Lieutenant Edward “Pace” Thompson.
Red River Paddle Challenge is a 44 kilometre (~27 miles) long distance single day paddling race on the Red River beginning in Winnipeg, Manitoba and ending down river in Lockport, Manitoba.
Les Voyageurs Challenge is a 110 kilometer (~68 miles) ultra distance paddling race on the Red River beginning in Ste Agathe, Manitoba and ending down river in Lockport, Manitoba. Les Voyageurs is a two-day staged race where participants paddle from Ste Agathe to The Forks Historic Port in Winnipeg on day one and then on day two participants join in with the Red River Paddle Challenge paddlers and paddle to Lockport.

Lakeside Quilters Quilt Show
Lakeside Quilters are celebrating their 10th Quilt Show this year!
This year’s show offers much to explore: Quilts/Quilted Items, Donation Quilts, and Fabric Art. As well, we are introducing a Youth Quilting Category, and, to celebrate our 10th Show, a Mini Quilt Challenge. A special history display takes a look back at the first nine Lakeside Quilters shows.
All pieces entered into the show are judged by visitors to the show. The top three vote-getters in each category will be presented a quilted prize rosette..
The show is also an opportunity to buy fabric and sewing notions. Vendors from around Manitoba will be on hand with a wide variety of goodies to purchase. A rainbow raffle and yummy food at the Fat 1/4 Café are available.
