Follow the flow of the Red River up the east side of Lake Winnipeg, and explore some of Canada’s best beaches!
Just an hour north of Winnipeg, get your toes into the famous fine white sand of Grand Beach. Along the shallow edges of Lake Winnipeg, Grand Beach Provincial Park offers a family-friendly beach experience, along with excellent facilities for picnicking, camping, boating, hiking, and summer sports.
In the adjacent community of Grand Marais, you’ll find restaurants, beach supplies, gas, groceries, and a unique museum showcasing the history of the resort.
For a walk on the wild side, try the natural beauty of Patricia Beach Provincial Park, home to the almost-extinct piping plover. Although the beach offers basic services, you will still obtain a unique, thrilling, and breathtaking experience.
Prefer clothing optional? Just north of Patricia Beach you’ll find Beaconia Beach.
Even closer to Winnipeg, Bird’s Hill Park offers an enhanced man- made beach.
